Maria Pimentel Diaz Associate

Originally from Humacao, Puerto Rico, Maria joined CYP after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2023. She is also an alumna of Iowa State University's class of 2019 where Maria majored in Political Science and Public Relations. During her time in law school, Maria served as the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and was an active member of the Intellectual Property Student Organization, La Alianza (UW's Latinx Law Student Association), and the Student Bar Association.

Prior to joining CYP's Madison office, Maria worked for the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association as a legal intern where she researched and analyzed multiple issues pertaining to non-profit work. Additionally, Maria was a legal intern for Chief Justice Annette Kingsland Ziegler of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, conducting legal research and drafting memoranda on issues relating to insurance, criminal, and property law. Maria was also a student attorney for the University of Wisconsin Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic where she assisted clients with trademark registration, entity formation, drafting terms of service and privacy policies.

While growing within the legal profession, Maria is working diligently with her team in the Madison office on litigation and transactional legal matters. Maria is excited to expand her legal experience and knowledge at Chilton Yambert Porter LLP.
